Network Partners, Inc. (NPI) can assist you in providing an independent assessment of your frame relay and point-to-point network resources. Our personnel are experienced in analyzing Wide Area Network facilities including routers, frame relay switches, PVCs and other components pinpointing the source of anomalies impacting your systems and users. Whether the anomalies are associated with the frame relay provider, undersized circuits or with protocols such as IP, IPX, SNA, and Source Route Bridging, NPI can identify and resolve the most difficult of problems.

Typical problems resolved have ranged from mis-configured routers and frame relay switches, defective software, mis-configured frame relay parameters by the service provider, congested host and remote PVCs, to remote routing loops created at some distant site by uninformed personnel. Other problems that have been frequently observed and corrected include PVCs that have been requested removed but still remain in-service (with recurring monthly charges); burst speeds that have been locked at CIR values by the service provider without your knowledge; and, non-symmetric CIR definitions installed by the network service provider.

When our personnel arrive at your site they will be equipped with the expert tools necessary to identify the source of problems. Their tool kit typically includes wide area network Sniffer technology; frame relay analysis tools; tools to discover and document the actual logical network configuration, network latency, and response times; and, Site Manager and many other specialized application programs or systems that expedite the discovery of a problem’s root-cause.
