Press Release Summaries

August 2005 - Enhanced I/T Security Systems -- Network Partners, Inc. (NPI) has signed agreements with several regional banks to enhance I/T security functions within each bank, generate formal documentation, and provide other functions necessary for the banks to fully meet the newly revised FFIEC audit guidelines. We are proud to say that each such bank has earned a "1" rating, the highest possible.

November 13, 2003 - Nebraska Independent Community Banker's trade show --Network Partners, Inc. (NPI) today announced an economical program to provide small to medium sized Nebraska banks with the expert-level Information Technology (I/T) security services necessary to compete in today's financial markets.

"There is increased pressure on the small banks resulting from rewriting of the FFIEC I/T Information Security Handbook in December 2002 (used by all Examiners and Auditors).  The recently passed Check 21 legislation also leaves the majority of our Nebraska banks in a quandary", said Richard Adamson, President and General Manager of Network Partners, Inc. The problem is the security bar has been raised significantly.  Our congressional leaders have recognized the cost savings associated with the electronic check clearing process (Check 21), but the small banks don't have the technical security staff necessary to adequately support these advancements. It is not unusual in today's environment for a bank to be written up by Federal or State Examiners for items that were essentially overlooked or non-existent in previous audits.

"We believe I/T security should remain in our banks where GLB and other regulatory requirements can be locally managed, and not outsourced to some distant third party organization, said Lee Cheever, Sales and Marketing Manager for Network Partners, Inc.

NPI's annual security retainer program bundles quarterly penetration tests, on-site security assessments (internal), on-the-job employee training, I/T security documentation, technical I/T security representation for all audits and exams, inexpensive or free intrusion detection and security logging systems, with on-site I/T security guidance to bank management and the board when new services or technologies are being considered.  This program represents the most complete security offering available in the US.
